G.P. Federnat gets under way in Modena

This evening the president Cesare Meli will open the 35th edition at the Ghirlandina race track in Modena. There will be three finals, with the first for five-year-olds plus. Poseidon Bar will be favourite with  Parinaz, Illy Pan and Sonny Club also in the running in the 11-horse field. In the second race Showmar and Sidney Bi will be ones to watch while in the third G.P. Federnat, Marlon Om should be the form mount. In a rich evening of racing in Modena the 50th Federnat Gold Plate has 16 horses in the field. It is certainly a meeting not to miss. (Bruno Delgado)
