Global Champions Tour: Edwina Tops Alexander wins in Miami.

The first leg of the GCT, held at the splendid seaside location of Miami, has been won by Australia’s Edwina Tops Alexander.
The horsewoman was the last to go round the course at the decisive jump-off stage and registered a time of 34.59 seconds with the splendid Lintea Tequila.
USA’s McLain Ward was a second slower with HH Azur to claim second spot while rounding out the podium was German rider Christian Ahlmann with Epleaser van’t Heike.
Italy’s hopes meanwhile passed through Emanuele Gaudiano, but after a faultless first round, he was eliminated in the second round for knocking down two barriers with Caspar and had to settle for 15th place.
