International Jumping of Dinard:on the way to Tokyo!

After a schedule disrupted by the health crisis, the world’s top show jumpers will meet this year from 15th to 18th July, in Brittany, to compete in the prestigious CSI5* of the International Jumping of Dinard, the highest level of the 4 competition labels displayed (CSI5*, CSI3*, CSI1*, CSI YH 7 ans).
While the entries are still open, until the day before the competition, the presence of some of the top riders promises great moments of sport. A nice way to honor the 40th anniversary of the Val Porée stadium! Among the fifty pairs announced in the prestigious CSI5*, some of the riders selected for the Tokyo Olympics will be on the start lists, such as:
– The German Daniel Deusser, team bronze medalist in the 2016 Olympics, world n°1, selected for Tokyo
– The Swiss Steve Guerdat, Olympic champion in 2012, world n°2, selected for Tokyo
– The Swiss Martin Fuchs, defending European champion, runner-up at the 2018 World championship world n°3 mondial, selected for Tokyo
– The American Kent Farrington, team silver medalist in the 2016 Olympics, world n°5, selected for Tokyo
– The British Scott Brash, team gold medalist in the 2012 Olympics, world n°6, selected for Tokyo
– The Belgians selected for Tokyo : Pieter Devos (world n°16), Grégory Wathelet, Olivier Philippaerts and Jérôme Guéry, recent winner of the Rolex Grand Prix 5* of Knokke
– The French team gold medalists at the JO 2016 : Kevin Staut (world n°19), Roger Yves Bost, Philippe Rozier and Pénélope Leprévost. In Dinard, the French champion will meet two of her team mates on the way to Tokyo, Nicolas Delmotte and Mathieu Billot.
– The Canadian Eric Lamaze, Olympic champion in 2008, world n°21
– The Swedish Henrik Von Eckermann, team runner-up at the 2018 World championship, world n°22, selected for Tokyo
– The Italian Emanuele Gaudiano, world n°24, selected for Tokyo
With, at the moment, 15 riders among the Top 30, most of them flying to Japan after Dinard, the Rolex Grand Prix held on Sunday 18th July (2.45pm) promises to be fiercely contested…
