Jur Vrieling in great form in Mechelen

British victory in the Open of the Stallion Competition at the hands of Joe Clee riding the 10 year old SBS Utamaro of Ecaussines (Diamant de Semilly), in 37.56.In second place was Dutchman Jur Vrieling with the KWPN 2004 owned by VDL Stud, Zavall VDL (Casall) while in third place came the Swiss Edwin Smits with Copain du Perchet CH (Conteur).
There were also two Italian representatives, Juan Carlos Garcia and Emanuele Gaudiano, ranked respectively 13th riding Gitano v.Berkenbroeck (Nabab de Reve) with 4 penalties and 23rd with Caspar (Casper).

The highlight of the day yesterday was the Land Rover Masters in which once again Dutch rider Jur Vrieling won, this time riding the stallion VDL Zirocco Blue (Mr. Blue).The fifth and final round of this spectacular trial saw three competitors in action, one of which (Olivier Philippaerts, 3rd place with Armstrong vd Kapel) opted to withdraw. In the field were therefore the final winner Jur Vrieling and Frenchman Simon Delestre with Csarina de Fuyssieux (Casario II): clear round for both but with the Dutch rider faster in 35.60 seconds while Frenchman had 36.09. Ten pairs took part:

Immediately after the KBD Bank & Verzekering CSI5 * -W over 1.50m will take place and closing at 22.25 will be the Award Samsung 1.45m speed event.
The 2014 Horse of the Year award will close out the event.
