Katrin Eckermann has a broken collarbone and will undergo surgery immediately

More Equestrian World on Firth of Lorne and Katrin Eckermann following the terrible fall during the GP of Aachen where both horse and rider were injured.
Starting with Firth of Lorne, the initial diagnosis was correct and there was no real damage, just a sprain, which has already mended leaving only the odd bruise. Not quite so lucky for the 24 year old rider who broke her collarbone and will undergo surgery immediately
Both the German and her horse returned home to Munster where Eckermann will have the operation by the end of the week.
