Some of the best riders in the world will be competing in the Longines Global Champions Tour in Rome. Riders of the calibre of Christian Almann, Rolf Goran Bengtsson, Simon Delestre and Luciana Diniz.
With the leader of the ranking, Scott Brash, not competing (the Scot is in Canada for the Grand Slam in the Calgary Masters) the Portuguese could return to the top of the table.
The Italian team will be represented by Emanuele Gaudiano, Piergiorgio Bucci, Daniele Augusto Da Rios, Lorenzo De Luca, Juan Carlos Garcia and Massimiliano Ferrario with wild cards handed out to Luca Maria Moneta, Emanuele Massimiliano Bianchi and Matilde Giorgia Bianchi.
