Minikus takes top spot in Ocala
Among the most exciting events last weekend was the Fei World Cup qualifying phase for the American division that took place in Ocala, Florida as part of the Live Oak International.
Home rider Todd Minikus recorded his second win riding Babalou to snatch victory from the German Andre Thieme who was leading with Conthendrix.
It was a masterful round from Minikus who stopped the clock at 47.77 seconds with the German on 49.39 seconds.
Eighteen of the 38 starters made the jump-off and as well as German Thieme there was also the French rider Alexandra Paillot riding Polias de Blondel with a time of 51.68 seconds.
After this round of the World Cup in Live Oak we move on to the final of Fei World Cup, scheduled in the United States in Omaha (Nebraska) from March 29 to April 2 where the best seven athletes of the US east coast, the best three athletes of the Western coast of the US and the two athletes with the best finish in Canada and Mexico will compete.
