Qatar book their place at the Olympic Games in Rio.

Qatar’s win in the Nations Cup yesterday in Abu Dhabi was doubly sweet. Not only did they win the only middle eastern stage of the competition, but they also guaranteed their pass to the next Olympic Games in Rio in 2016.
Abu Dhabi was marked as one of the Olympic Qualifier stages and the Qatar riders, coached by Jan Tops, came through with flying colours against formidable opponents such as Ukraine, Germany, Holland and France and round a course designed by Belgium’s Luc Musette.
The Qatar team was made up as follows: Ali Yousef Al Rumaihi with Gunder, Khalid Al Emadi with Tamira IV, Mohammed Bassem Hassan with Palloubet d’Halong and the Sheik Ali Bin Khalid Al Thani with Vienna Olympic.
