Having nearly withdrawn through injury to the 19-year old Chablis, Valentina Truppa took part in her second Olympics after the 2012 London Games.The Italian rider made the qualification for the Grand Prix with 65.975% but will have a tough task as she goes out second in the field where half of the 60 competitors qualified.
The Azzurri is currently in 23rd place of the partial ranking where the German Dorothee Schneider with Showtime FRH (percentage of 89 986) leads, followed by compatriot Sonke Rothenberger on Cosmo (77 329), third in the British rider Fiona Bigwood on Orthilia (77,157).

Today the second part of the test with the remaining pairs, including the Dutch Diederik van Silfhout with Arlando and Hans Peter Minderhound on Johnson, the Swedish Patrik Kittel on Deja, the German Kristina Sprehe Bröring with Desperados FRH and Isabell Werth on Weihegold Old and above all the record holders: Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro.
