A giant “100” on the sandy beaches at the Mont Saint Michel bay in Normandy to mark the days that are remaining before the next World Equestrian Games (WEG) begin.
This artistic creation from horse footprints was done by French artist Christophe Dumont with the help of a team of 20 other people who worked against time but above all against the tide!
The inspiration came from horse tracks that had been left on the beach and he decided to use this for the final design before the waves from the sea eventually wash away Dumont’s creation.
This year will be the seventh edition of the WEG and will be taking place at the Stade d’Ornano in Caen from the 23rd of August to the 7th of September.
The rich equestrian traditions of the Normandy region, known for its famous Le Pin National breeding-farm, make it the ideal location. Finally, the famous Mont Saint Michel bay will also form a part of the Endurance circuit during the upcoming edition of the World Equestrian Games.
