Show Jumping: Beerbaum continues to thrive in Las Vegas
Despite popular belief Friday the 17th is a lucky day, at least for German rider Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum and her trusted steed Shutterfly. The star jumper won the second final in the 31st edition f the FEI World Cup Final Jumping 2009.
Two perfect runs by the German partnership, who performed the laps, designed by Anthony d’Ambrosio from the US, in a perfect manner, and a final barrage of 32.77 seconds.
The American Ward McLane and his horse Sapphre finished second (0-33.77 secs), whilst Oki Doki and rider Albert Zoer from Holland finished third (0-43.72).
The next event will be the Las Vegas Gran Prix, in the building up to the grand finale tomorrow.
