We are back with our look ahead to the top events around Europe this week and we start close to home with the Vermezzo CSI3* in Milan which is now in its third edition and brings together young local and international riders such as Italy’s Emanuele Massimiliano Bianchi who is ranked 90th in the world for under-25s and had success at the World Cup in Lyon. There will also be Francesca Arioldi, winners of the U25 Riders Academy at Verona and Filippo Bologni.There are also some top Azzurri riders such as Emilio Bicocchi (on Ares) and Gianni Govoni (on Antonio), while from abroad Reed Kessler, Steve Guerdat, Martin Fuchs and the winner of the World Cup stage in Verona, Abdel Said.www.milanowintershow.itMoving on to Madrid there is Madrid Horse Week which hosts CSI5*-W with two specialists events for Fei World Cup: show-jumping and vaulting.In the course of the event there will be the Jumping Clash Challenge, which is something new and brings together the eight top horses in the Longines Rankings. The event will be a knock-out similar to tennis, with a final.The third ranked in the world, Anna Cavallaro will be representing Italy in the Fei World Cup vaulting event.
