Vigo Cece: First Embryos Produced at Avantea, Bookings Open for the July 14 OPU-ICSI Session

Vigo Cece

Following the success of the first OPU-ICSI session dedicated to Vigo Cece, the first embryos have now been successfully produced, confirming the suitability of the French stallion’s semen for the OPU-ICSI programme and offering breeders a new opportunity to capitalise on his exceptional genetics.

Building on these encouraging initial results, Avantea has already scheduled a new session dedicated to Vigo Cece, set to take place on 14 July 2026.

For breeders planning an OPU-ICSI programme with their donor mares, this will be the next opportunity to produce embryos using one of the most exciting stallions of his generation.

Vigo Cece

Born in France in 2009, Vigo Cece is a 173 cm bay Selle Français stallion bred by Haras de Talma. His pedigree brings together some of the most influential bloodlines in European breeding. He is by Quaprice Bois Margot, an internationally successful performer and son of Quidam de Revel, and out of Lady Pouilly, a daughter of the legendary Diamant de Semilly, World Team Champion and one of the most important sires in the modern history of show jumping.

Although his own sporting career was cut short prematurely, Vigo Cece quickly established himself as one of the most influential stallions of his generation through the outstanding performances of his offspring at the highest levels of international sport.

To date, he has sired 135 offspring, with 79 already competing in sport, including descendants performing at the very highest levels of international show jumping, up to 1.70m classes and Olympic Games competition.

His genetics combine the exceptional qualities of Quidam de Revel, Diamant de Semilly, Galoubet A, and some of the finest French maternal lines, making him a particularly attractive choice for breeders aiming to produce horses for top-level sport.

Bookings Open

Bookings are now open for the Vigo Cece OPU-ICSI session on 14 July 2026.

For further information regarding this and future embryo production opportunities with Vigo Cece, please contact the Avantea team.

Because some bloodlines never cease to leave their mark. They simply find new ways of doing so, while breeders continue their timeless pursuit of turning genetics into future champions.
