Weekend of world class equestrian events

We are back again with our agenda dedicated to equestrian events this weekend and we begin in Paris for stage ten of the Longines Global Champions Tour tournament.
The magical Parisian atmosphere embraces the great equestrian sport in an event that is one of a kind, immersed in three hectares of Plaine de Jeux de Gabatelle and which will feature Christian Ahlmann. The German is in command of the overall standings with 209 points and will try to defend his leadership from the assaults of Edwina Tops-Alexander, the Australian who won a LGCT edition chasing in second place, 40 points away, and Swede Rolf- Goran Bengtsson, in 3rd place with 160 points.
Winner in 2015 was Irish Bertram Allen, who has proven to be in good shape in the previous event in Monte Carlo.
Around 250 horses and a prize pool of over € 590,000 are on offer for this Longines Global Champions Tour – Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping, one of the last major events before the long-awaited Rio 2016 Olympic Games that on Sunday will present a special show entitled “Good luck for Rio“.

Another top commitment is the Knokke Hippique, the Belgian CSI5 * promoted by Stefan Conter where they will be involved of course the riders from the Stephex Stables, the Daniel Deusser team and Lorenzo De Luca, who in this tournament will be also in the company of another Azzurro: forestry agent Emanuele Gaudiano, in good condition after the victory in the Monte Carlo GP.

Another key event this weekend is in Calgary, Canada where the classic Canadian circuit plays out with the CSI5 * Pan American presented by Rolex, a fixture for riders from the American continent.
