World Breeding For Sport Horses names best studbooks

Let’s turn our attention now to horse breeding after the WBSH published its standings for 2016.
In first spot in the show-jumping we find Germany’s Holsteiner Verband with 7955 points. The renowned Dutch giants KWPN meanwhile missed out on a podium finish with the two Belgian studbooks Zangersheide and Belgisch Warmbloedpaard following behind in second and third.
As for the dressage discipline, the winner was Hannoveraner Verband with 14083 points. Second spot went to KWPN (Koninklijk Warmbloed Paardestamboek Nederland) while the final podium slot belongs to Verband der Zuchter des Oldemburger Pferdes.
Finally, in the eventing discipline Irish Sport Horse Studbook (1408 points) took top honours. Hannoveraner Verband was second and Holsteiner Verband third.
