Alessandra follows Siena: the San Giorgio GP gets go ahead

Piercarlo Fabbio, the mayor of Alessandria has done it; the ok from the FISE to spread sand over Piazza Garibaldi has arrived for the national equestrian competition, the “IV Gran Premio Città di Alessandria”, to be held from June 12-14.
For three days the Alessandrina Equestrian Society will transform the piazza known as ‘the Beauty’ into Siena’s Piazza del Campo, where the famous Palio is raced. More than 300 horses, amongst which the most in form who have just competed in Rome’s Piazza di Siena, are expected.
Adding glamour to the event, Natale Chiaudani, perhaps the leading Italian rider following his fourth place in Rome’s Grand Prix, is going to be ready at the starting line.
Zuvadelli, Bucci are some of the other names who will complete the starting list. L. Giannangeli
