Another weekend of major events with Italy taking centre stage too

Let’s get down to our weekly look at the big events for the upcoming weekend: the five-star event this week is at Wellington in Florida for the last week of the Winter Equestrian Festival.Races are scheduled from today at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center but the most anticipated events are essentially three and are all planned for Saturday: the final two rounds of the Suncast $ 100,000 and Rolex Grand Prix $ 500.00.Starting in this competition are also excellent names from Europe: Dutch rider Harrie Smolders, the Irishman Kevin Babington and Shane Sweetnam, Britain’s Ben Maher and French rider Marie Hecart. Video: www.coth.comThere are quite a lot of CSI3 * events this week: two are located in Italy at Arezzo and San Giovanni in Marignano.The Arezzo Equestrian Centre has already begun its second week of the Tuscany Tour with victories for local riders: Emanuele Gaudiano riding Carlotta (Chaccomo) followed in 2nd place by Giampiero Garofalo with Evita S (Tygo) in the category for six years, Gaudiano then repeated in the seven years with the gray Contino (Contefino).
