The Brazil Chef d’Equipe Christina Harbich was very pleased with his team’s first place in the Nations Cup in Samorin, Slovakia. He said: “I am very excited because it was my first in charge of the team so it was an important win for Brazil.”The X-BIONIC® CSIO3 event lived up to expectations and Harbich was suitably impressed, saying:  “The atmosphere is amazing, it is one of the best places in the world for horses, but also for all the space we have available, no doubt, this property is able to compete with the most prestigious in the world. Canada and all over Europe. I myself was an Olympic rider, and I know how difficult it is to organize things better.”
Having achieved your main goal: you won the Nations Cup. What’s your next goal?  “I replaced the team’s chef because he could not be present. I’ve been in this sport for many years and I can say without false modesty that we did a great job.”
How did he chose the team, Luis Felipe de Azevedo Filho on Cachito (0/8); Carlos Eduardo Motta Ribas on Wilexo (4/4); Karina Johannpeter on Casper (0/0); Marlon Modolo Zanotellin are Celena VDL (0/4)?
“I believe that a result like this is the result of major teamwork. The riders in this Cup are professionals and know what to do. And for Brazil, a country with its own difficulties, it is a great success to have many emerging riders.“And teams that are coming through:  “The Japanese surprised me, many new riders I did not know, and the American team has put in new talents as well as Germany with two emerging riders.”The Germans pushed Brazil all the way but in the end it was South American success: “We held in tough and we managed to put the gold medal around our necks.“HSJPhoto
