CSIO 5*: Dermott Lennon takes the win

The CSIO 5* of Gijon was won by Dermott Lennon on the back of his favourite horse Loughview Lou-Lou.
It was a tough round that saw the Italian Luca Maria Moneta, riding with the expert Neptune Breocurt, retire. The Irish rider Lennon dominated the event with his 14-year-old horse. Lennon finished with a time of 55.07 seconds ahead of the Egyptian Said Abdel on the back of the 9 year old female California and of the French rider Bernard Briand Chevalier who was riding with Qadillac du Heup.
Simona Coata, with Cannavaro, was also forced to retire from the race.
