Events: countdown begins to the Global Champions Tour

The countdown is on ahead of the next Global Champions Tour which begins on the 24th of April in Anversa, Belgium. Last season’s Global Champions Tour, which was the eighth edition of the competition, was won by Scottish rider Scott Brash who at the age of 28 became the youngest ever rider to win the Global Champions Tour. Interestingly, he also achieved that on the day of his 28th birthday.
There will be new venues and stages in the upcoming Global Champions Tour which includes the opening stop in Anversa in addition to Shanghai and Paris. Overall, there will be a total of 18 stages with an increased prize money total up for grabs compared to previous years.
It will be tough to beat last year’s astonishing edition which was full of excitement. However, the organisers of the Global Champions Tour are in no doubt that this year will be bigger and better thanks to the quality of the venues and the level of riders taking part with Christian Ahlmann and the current title holder Scott Brash having already confirmed their participation at the event.
