Hester wins as Valegro bows out

Carl Hester has thrilled fans in London as part of the Olympia Horse Show.
In what was the fifth leg of the FEI World Cup for the Western European League Hester took the spoils with Nip Tuck.
The duo took the win with a score of 84.669% and finished ahead of Minderhoud and Gal in second and third respectively.
Soon afterwards however it was the turn of the performer Valegro to take to the field and bid farewell to the crowd before its retirement.
The fans all paid tribute to the legend and fantastic KWPN who has given so much to the sport.Speaking about the event, Hester said it was a bitter-sweet day as he was delighted to see Valegro receive the recognition it deserves, but sad to see the horse bow out.
