Horse riding: The Sicilian Trophy stops off at the SISA in Lavinaio

The Sicilian show jumping and dressage trophy will stop-off at the Sicilian Equestrian training society in Lavinaio next weekend.
From Friday the 17th till Sunday the 19th horses, and their riders, will be the undisputed protagonists in the shade of the Etna Volcano. This weekend’s stage will be the fourth round of the trophy, which has already been to the Adim in Augusta, the SIS in Syracuse and the Cisse in Catania.
The opening competition will see hundreds of riders from every corner of the island compete, with the start scheduled for 10.30 Friday morning, with the partnerships contesting the dressage disciplines (M100, F200, E210 and E80).
On Saturday the show jumping will take place, starting at 7.30 and will continue through the entire day, for all disciplines, B80, BP90, BP100, B100/E100, B110/E105, BP110, C115, C120 and C130.
Sunday will see the C120 become the C125, and the C140 over two stages.
Tommaso Favata will head the jury for the show jumping, whilst Paolo Bellocchi will be in charge of the jury for the dressage.
The rest of the show jumping jury will be: Maria Letizia Pasetti, Laura Politi, Rosalba Bertuccio, Renata Ranieri, Rita Rizzo and Germana Veneziani, whilst Egidio Falco and Fabio Paderni will be in charge of the equestrian category and Egidio Falco and Antonino Fichera will oversee the training elements.
The race courses will be designed by Fabrizio Sonzogni, who is the director of the centre. Entrance for spectators is free.
