The KWPN stallion selection trials continued yesterday in Ermelo, Holland.
The morning session was dedicated to stallions destined for the show-jumping discipline while in the afternoon the judges from the KWPN studbook turned their attentions to horses for the dressage discipline.
Following the initial evaluations, the horses then underwent rigorous veterinary tests to ascertain their physical condition.
Even though the stallion selections are still at an early phase, there is already one that has caught the attention in the form of CHK’14 72 Calvino Z x Einstein: a jumper who from next week will be officially registered by KWPN.
This year the standard promises to be high even though naturally the odd performer isn’t quite up to the KWPN mark. Having said this, there has been an increase in the performer quality with respects to the trials in February.
In the meantime, the intense sessions at Ermelo are set to continue under the guide of Henk Martelli ahead of the next selection trials which are set for the 25th of March which are followed by the Spring Auctions on the 29th of March.
