New Fei agreement for Reining

The Fei has signed an official agreement with the National Reining Horse Association ( NRHA ) and the American Quarter Horse Association ( AQHA ) to formalize the Fei rules about this discipline which were set out in 2002.
The competitions will be reserved for horses aged greater than or equal to seven years of age, with the exception of the next World Equestrian Games which will also allow younger horses.
All three of these organizations have found themselves separated so far so they had to unify the discipline and work together to make it grow.
Since its entry into the discipline of Reining, Fei has progressed thanks to the support of the Federation , which together with NRHA and AQHA has fueled the expansion of the sport: it has gone from just 5 Reining events in 2002 to 115 last year.
In addition to the WEG, Reining will be back this summer in Switzerland with the Fei European Reining Championships for Young Riders and Juniors at the beginning of July.
