PIAZZA DI SIENA. France celebrate Cup success
Once again it has been the French team to leave Rome with success in the Nations’ Cup, proof of the Bleus’ superiority shown at La Baule. Penelope Leprevost finished with double clear rounds, Kevin Staut (4-0), Nicolas Delmotte (8-0) and Patrice Delaveau (0- np) to steer the four-rider team to victory. Great Britain finished in second place with eight faults while Spain and Ireland tied for third place with 12 faults. Italy came seventh behind Germany and United States. Switzerland and Sweden finished off the standings with 28 and 32 faults respectively.Govoni’s one clear round for the team may not be enough for the performance by the Azzurri to be considered satisfying, however.
