Polo: Results from Day 3

Third day of competition yesterday, Tuesday May 26, in the arena of the Shergan equestrian center in Costa Smeralda which is hosting the Juluis Baer Spring Polo Gold Cup 2009.The Operae Polo Team claimed their first victory of the tournament over Sansui Polo Team by 7-5,5. Thanks to the exceptional David Bernal, who scored a total of six times, the team led by captain Franck Dubarry now moves up to three points in the qualifying round after the 7-7 draw earned in the opening game on Sunday against Villa A Sesta Polo Team.Once again Costanza Marchiorello was also a scorer and moves up to two for the Sansui Polo Team.After four matches the Argentine from the Operae Polo Team, Bernal, leads the scoring charts with 11 goals. Behind him his fellow country men, Ignacio Novillo Astrada of the Sansui Polo Team on seven goals and Eduardo Menendez with six goals for Villa A Sesta in just the one match played.Two games are scheduled for the Wednesday: at 18.00 Audi Polo Team vs Julius Baer Polo Team followed by Cortina Polo Style Team vs Villa A Sesta Polo Team.
