Rolex KKentucky 2014 gets underway

The big event in the USA is the Rolex KKentucky 2014, which is a stage in the Rolex Grand Slam. American Allison Springer leads the dressage with Arthur ahead of Briton William Fox-Pitt on Bay My Hero, and third another home rider Lauren Kieffer on Veronica.
The “cannibal“ Andrew Nicholson of New Zealand is at the Kentucky Horse Park to defend his title and all eyes will be on him in the chase for the $350,000 prize money for the first stage of the Grand Slam, with the second being the Badmington Horse Trials and the final worth $1million prize at the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials.
Laura Kieffer in her second year of the Rolex Grand Slam will be feeling the pressure as will Nicholson and Fox-Pitt. Riding Veronica the rider is beginning to show international form on the big stage.
