Rome ready to host big day of harness racing.
The Capannelle Racetrack in Rome is ready to open its doors and host a series of races for the 2 and 3 year-old categories. Of particular interest is the Fiumi Italiani Prize, exclusively for three year-olds where the battle for the win is likely to be between Tornado Group with Giorgio D’Alessandro and Twigghy Grif with Filippo Gallo. The latter is coming off the back of a convincing win earlier this month in Naples, but don’t rule out Tommy dei Ronchi either with Bellei in search of a first win since May.
As for the two-year old category, Uragano Nero is one to watch. Back in September, the horse picked up two wins and it’s the ideal way to go into the race with Di Stefano. Ursa Caf meanwhile with Antonio Esposito is also out to stake a claim for victory followed by Urlo dei Ceri from Montegiorgio. All in all, it promises to be an interesting and exciting day of racing in the Italian capital.
