The Rolex Series heads to Sweden as Falsterbo Horse Show prepares to deliver top sport
Following the success of the Jumping International de La Baule, the Rolex Series now moves to Sweden for one of the most iconic fixtures on the international calendar: the Falsterbo Horse Show, taking place from 8 to 12 July 2026.
For more than a century, Falsterbo has stood as one of the most prestigious events in world show jumping and remains the only Swedish event included in the Rolex Series. Each year, its renowned grass arena welcomes some of the sport’s finest horse-and-rider combinations, offering a unique blend of tradition, sport and spectacle.
The 2026 edition once again promises competition of the highest calibre. The programme features the prestigious Rolex Grand Prix presented by Agria, the much-anticipated Agria Nations Cup and the historic Falsterbo Derby, all staged on one of the most celebrated arenas in international show jumping.
The courses will be designed by renowned German course designer Frank Rothenberger, who will set technical and selective tracks for the world’s best riders. Rothenberger will also play a key role at the upcoming FEI World Championships in Aachen, further confirming his status as one of the leading figures in show jumping course design.
The world’s best riders set for Falsterbo
The home crowd will have the chance to cheer on three of Sweden’s greatest show jumping stars: Henrik von Eckermann, Peder Fredricson and Malin Baryard-Johnsson, team world champions and major contenders in front of their own supporters.
Other leading names expected to compete include current world number one Kent Farrington, world number two Richard Vogel, Olympic champion Ben Maher, Ireland’s Shane Sweetnam and Swiss Olympic champion Steve Guerdat.
Belgium will field a particularly strong line-up with Pieter Devos, Abdel Saïd, and team European champions Nicola Philippaerts and Thibeau Spits.
France will be represented by Olympic team champion Kevin Staut, Nicolas Sers and Mégane Moissonnier, while Ireland will rely on Trevor Breen, Jordan Coyle and Darragh Kenny. Switzerland will also be represented by Martin Fuchs, Jason Smith and Gaëtan Joliat.
Nine nations to contest the Nations Cup
Nine teams will battle for the Agria Nations Cup in Falsterbo: Sweden, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Mexico, Switzerland and the United States.
With a world-class field and a programme packed with major competitions, Falsterbo Horse Show is ready to write a new chapter in the Rolex Series, reaffirming its place as one of the most eagerly awaited highlights of the international equestrian summer.
