After Christian Ahlmann, the World Cup in Paris has also lost Italy star Alberto Zorzi: mount Ego van Orti was in fact struck by a slight colic and the Azzurri rider in agreement with the owner of the horse Jan Tops have decided not to take risks and withdrew its participation at the Accorhotel Arena from 10 to 15 April.
It would have been Albert’s first World Cup final, a second Azzurri debut following Lorenzo De Luca last year in Omaha, but personal glories take second place when it comes to protecting the health of horses, in any case, with a season just begun and an important appointment such as WEG on the horizon, the rider will have plenty of opportunity to bounce back.
