All set for big Derby weekend in Rome

Everything is ready for Derby day at the Capannelle in Rome on Sunday, 18th but this afternoon there is plenty of top-quality action at the Roman course. Seven races with the beginning reserved for two years with a further two opening races and then the four-year-olds to close on the 1,200 meters course. The program stands out in the sixth race for the Geneva Award 1400 meter handicap over the all-weather track with nine three-year-old starterss and Scatenate l’inferno in great shape and the pre-race favorite. To make life difficult the pupil of Dino Colaceci has Seaside Runner ridden by Mirco Demuro and Veii King with Borrelli in the saddle in competition. Also in with a chance are Ercegovic and Luna Lunatica with Marcelli. As usual the organizers expect a full house on Sunday.
