Amsterdam International opens its door to young fans
We are off to Amsterdam for the 55th edition of Jumping Amsterdam which opened yesterday with the national categories of jumping while today there will be the international events starting with Dressage: first up the Reem Acra Fei World Cup with eyes focused on the combination of record-breakers Charlotte Dujardin & Valegro.
The day will end with Kleer Delicatessen Prix 1.45m, then followed by the Mercedes -Benz Prize 1.45 in two phases and closing the day will be De Telegraaf Prix, over 1.50m in two rounds.
DOORS OPEN TO CHILDREN BETWEEN SPORT AND ANIMALS.
The initiative of the Municipality of Amsterdam yesterday was the event which opened its doors to 300 children from six different elementary schools, with the idea of implementing an introduction to the world of animals and sport, the city of Amsterdam wants to promote the sport amongst youngsters: to give the young visitors many activities such as a treasure hunt and pony grooming activities. Moreover, the presence of the children who were able to attend the trials for the show jumping has brought a breath of fresh enthusiasm, their applause and whistles of admiration for the pairs in the ring have created a pleasant commotion among the stands, which was more lively than usual.
