Another two big performers out of WEG

The list of absentees for the World Equestrian Games is growing with Dutch riders Edward Gal and Danielle Heijkoop seeing their mounts drop out due to injuries.Gal’s Glock Undercover NOP has a tear to its back suffered during a training session with trainer Wim Ernestine although it was unclear whether the injury was sustained in the paddock or the box and while such an injury will take a week to heal but the necessary medication is not permitted by the organisers and so the decision was taken to withdraw the horse who will be substituted by the black KWPN stallion Glock Voice with Gal in the saddle.There was a slightly different story for Kingsley Siro where veterinary checks showed an injury at the last moment, probably related to training the previous day. In place of this combination comes in the reserve Diederik van Silfhout with Arlando NH NOP, so the oranje cannot count on their best team but can still chase a medal thanks to the presence of star performers such as Adelinde Cornelissen and Parzival Jerich NOP and Hans Peter Minderhound on Glock Johnson TN.source: www.knhs.nl
