Arcoveggio prepares for big day of racing.

Bologna takes centre stage today, January 6, the day of the Epiphany in Italy, for a big day of horse-racing.
11 pairs will be going head to head in the GP over 2400 metres with SERENO OP and Velotti the bookmaker’s favourites after their impressive displays in Milan in mid-November and in group 1 in Rome at the start of December. The recent results go to show the fine form of the 5 year old of Salvatore Tavana.
However, another 10 horse and drivers stand in their way and will be looking to upset the odds starting with REAL MEDE SM and Giorgio D’Alessandro Jr. who are called on to cancel out some of their recent below par performances. Keep an eye out for REJNA INN RONCO and Bellei too, capable of mixing it with the best on their day.
Also competing, we find the slightly inconsistent SEATTLE BI and Gocciadoro, SUERTE’S CAGE with Roberto Vecchione sponsored by Nuova Giannotti, OUDRY DEI VELTRI, an 8 year-old female and sister to the well-known Echo, and led by Neapolitan top-driver Vincenzo Luongo. Together the duo did very well at Garigliano in the summer of 2012.
A total of 8 races are scheduled for today at the Bologna race-track with a big crowd expected to pack out the Arcoveggio stands.
