AVANTEA LEGACY IN SPORT: A New Series Dedicated to the Horses Turning Genetics into Sporting Success

That is where years of research, genetic selection and breeding decisions are transformed into clear rounds, podium finishes and sporting achievements. It is from this very principle that Avantea Legacy in Sport was born: the new editorial series created in collaboration with HorseShowJumping.tv, dedicated to the horses bred through Avantea’s assisted reproduction technologies that are now making their mark in the sport.
Today, more than 2,000 Avantea horses are actively competing, a constantly growing population that reflects years of research, genetic selection and collaboration with breeders around the world. Many have already established themselves in competition, securing top-five placings in classes ranging from young horse categories to prestigious international 1.60m competitions.
The new series will explore how genetics becomes sport, following the journey from the careful selection of world-class bloodlines to success in the competition arena.
One of the defining strengths of Avantea horses lies in the exceptional quality of their pedigrees. Over the years, the Cremona-based centre has worked with some of the most influential broodmares in international show jumping, including HH Azur, Azuela de Muze, Bella Donna 66, Carthina Z, Centa de Muze, Cordula de Laubry, Derly Chin de Muze, Gancia de Muze, Inka Van’t Roosakker, Narcotique de Muze, Panama du Seigneur, Valentina Van’t Heike, Vibelle Z, and many others belonging to some of the sport’s most prestigious maternal families.
Alongside these outstanding mare lines, Avantea has also provided access to some of the most influential stallions in modern show jumping, including Chacco Blue, Cornet Obolensky, Comme Il Faut, Diamant de Semilly, Cavalor Cumano, United Touch S, Heartbreaker, Darco, Emerald van’t Ruytershof, For Pleasure, Big Star, Vigo Cece, Quick Star, El Barone 111 Z, Kashmir van Schuttershof, Baloubet du Rouet, and Toulon.
Each episode of Avantea Legacy in Sport will take viewers behind the scenes of the pedigrees, stories and sporting achievements of Avantea horses, demonstrating how genetic excellence ultimately finds its truest expression in the competition arena.
