
Azzurri stars in Helsinki

The 29th Helsinki International UB Horse Show will take place this weekend and there will be two Italian competitors taking part in what is the most the northernmost five-star show-jumping event.
Representing the Azzurri will be Juan Carlos Garcia on Banzai van de Warande and Luca Moneta on Jesus de la Commune who will be up against some of the best in the world of show-jumping as seven of the world’s top ten have arrived in the Finnish capital.
Among international participants are Edwina Tops-Alexander, Judy Ann Melchior, Roger Yves Bost, Simon Delestre, Hans-Dieter Dreher, Meredith Michaels Beerbaum, Gerco Schröder, Steve Guerda who will be chasing Longines FEI World Cup ranking points.
There will be a full programme over the weekend with prize money over €400,000 up for grabs and one of the events catching attention is the Young Guns, with the likes of Frank Schuttert, Patrick Stuhlmeyer, Marlon Mòdolo Zanotelli, Julio Arias and Pieter Devos competing.
