
Big Guns set for Longines Global Champions Tour final in Doha

The Pala BMW in Verona is over and many of the best riders and horses in the show jumping world will be heading to the final of Longines Global Champions Tour, in Al Shaqab, Doha, with over €1.7 million in prize money and the title of 2014 Longines Global Champions Tour Champion on the line.
Leading the contenders will be German legend Ludger Beerbaum, will be bringing his 11-year-old grey mare Chiara and Britain’s Scott Brash’s with Hello Sanctos; the 12-year-old bay gelding has partnered the World No1 to a record-breaking three Grand Prix Gold medals this season and the pair look poised to defend the title they won so convincingly in 2013.
Also in contention is Rolf-Göran Bengtsson of Sweden who led the standings for a long time but he will have to win outright on the 15-year-old stallion Casall ASK. Bengtsson to leap back to the top.
