The glare of the spotlight is on Madrid for the latest round of the Longines FEI World Cup™.
Carrying the hopes of the Italian nation are Emanuele Massimiliano Bianchi (Vadetta vh Mettenhof, Zycalin), Piergiorgio Bucci (Catwalk Z, Heartbreaker vd Achterhoe), Luca Maria Moneta (Bonheur S, Connery, Neptune Brecourt) and Alberto Zorzi (Airline R, Fair Light Van t Heike).
Ahead of the World Cup showdown, there has already been another trial in the form of the Prize of Mitsubishi against the clock and over 1.45. Riding his way to victory was Roger Yves Bost with the 12 year-old grey stallion Pegase du Murier and in a time of 52.62.
Italy’s Emanuele Massimiliano Bianchi was faultless to take a respectable sixth place in a time of 57.37. The Azzurri rider was competing with the 11 year-old mare Zycalin W. Fellow Italian Alberto Zorzi also completed the course without any penalties, but wasn’t as quick and had to settle for 12th place with Ramiro Cruise.
