Casadei claims win at Memorial Dalla Chiesa
The 25th edition of the Memorial Dalla Chiesa, the event that pays tribute to General Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa, came to a close yesterday with Giacomo Casadei taking the victory in the GP.
The event has seen a number of riders in action and the fans treated to a host of great competitions with the big one, with prize money of 22.000,00 euros, won by Casadei.
Adding to the impressive feat is the fact that at 14 Casadei was the youngest competitor. Despite his tender age, the talented teenager still claimed victory with his mount My Forever.
Following behind was Natale Chiaudani in second and Massimo Grossato in third.
Commenting afterwards, Casadei couldn’t hide his joy for claiming victory in the prestigious event, dedicating his triumph to his parents and all of his close friends.
And on the subject of friends and family, Giacomo’s father Mirco was also competing in the event and came 17th.
In other events, the “Master di Italia Indoor – Small Tour ” was won by Letizia Tono with Alex Mr.Blue. In second we find Francesco Morici and in third Greta Callegari.
As always the curtain came down on the big event with a closing ceremony which included a moving rendition of the Italian national anthem.
What’s more, part of the funds raised from the event will go towards a very worthy cause – the fight against chronic illnesses in children.
