CSI5* Saut Hermès: results from day 2.

Let’s round up the results now from day 2 of the 5 star Parisian event, starting with the competition which takes the name of the event: the “Le Saut Hermès”. This exclusive competition brings together the best 20 pairs from day 1 of the event and splits them into 10 teams, consisting of one male and one female rider. On Saturday, the 10 teams took on two rounds over 1.50m.
The winners this year were the team made up of Australia’s horse-woman Amy Graham with Bella Baloubet and Frenchman Julien Epaillard with Cristallo A LM. Together they recorded an overall time of 76.12 seconds and impressed with 0 penalties.
Second ranked Luciana Diniz with Winningmood and Ludger Beerbaum with Colestus also went through the two rounds without committing penalties. Unfortunately for the Portuguese and German, they were slightly slower recording a time of 76.72 seconds.
In third place we find Katharina Offel with Charlie and Daniel Bluman with Conconcreto Believe. The latter collected 4 penalties in the first round.

5th Edwina Tops – Alexander AUS Ego van Orti & Bertram Allen IRL Quite Easy 4 (5 penalties)
The fastest clear in the second round came from USA’s Laura Kraut with Ferox B, but she also collected 8 penalties in the first round. Her team-mate Marcus Ehning finished with a double clear with Funky Fred, and it meant that the two riders had to settle for 6th place.

The winner in the Prix GL Events on the other hand was Maikel van der Vleuten and VDL Groep Eureka. There were 11 clears in this competition. Following behind the Dutchman, we find Denis Lynch in second. The Irishman was competing with Abbervail van het Dingeshof. The second round of the Les Talents Hermès meanwhile saw Irishman Michael Duffy with Cortina 200 come in first place. In second we find Dutchman Hendrik-Jan Schuttert on Balboa Hs and in third Germany’s Vanessa Borgman with Come to Win 51.
