CSIO Hickstead 2015: Beezie Madden winner of The Longines King George V Gold Cup for second year in a row
Beezie Madden was the standout performer at the The Longines King George V Gold Cup in Hickstead. The rider won the final competition on the back of Corstes ‘C.
Six riders were involved in the jump-off, three of which finished the event with no penalties; the bronze medal winners at the world championships Beezie Madden and Cortes ‘C, the French rider Penelope Lèprevost with Flora de Mariposa (40 seconds behind the American in second place) and the Dutch rider Jur Vrieling who finished third with Vdl Zirocco Blue.
The other three qualified for the jump-off where British rider essica Mendoza (4 penalties for her and 4th place on the back of Spirit T), William Whitaker (5th place and four penalties with Fandango) and Todd Minikus (6th with four penalties with Babalou 41).
Great Equestrian World also for one of the Italian riders, Piergiorgio Bucci who finished 8th with Catwalk Z and four penalties in the first round.
