
CSIO5* Hickstead: starting order of the Nations Cup

Let’s return to the events from this weekend with the Furusiyya Fei Nations Cup in Hickstead while in Gijon the second European division will be competing tomorrow, Saturday 2nd August.
Let’s start with Hickstead and the sterting order for the Nations Cup. The first to start will be Sweden followed by the USA, Great Britain, France, Holland, Ireland, Belgium and Germany.
Difficult to say which nation will come out on top but let’s run through the results from the previous days:
Yesterday the French came out on top thanks to Julien Epaillard with Sheriff de la Nutria in the Bunn Leisure Vase timed event over 1.45m. Second was also a French rider, Nicolas Delmotte on Parlameme. Third was the Irishman Thomas Ryna on Cruise on Clover.

Then it was the turn of the Bunn Leisure Trophy, slightly harder even over 1.50m in two rounds and that was won by the British rider William Funnell with Billy Angelo. Behind him was the American McLain Ward on HH Cannavaro while third place went to Ben Maher, GBR, on the back of Diva II.

The most in-form teams are the French team, Great Britain, Ireland and Belgium although we have seen team USA come up with some surprising results and Germany does have one of the best teams out there.
