During the second day of events in Hamburg, the home crowd cheered on local rider David Will riding Deluxe Ilton who took top spot in the 1.50m category at the Klein Flottbeck Park. Will finished exactly one second ahead of Spaniard Sergio Alvarez Moya, riding Luchino, with Dutch Jur Vrieling, on Davall, third. The first pairing to complete a clear round were Belgian Constant van Paesschen on Comprade van de Helle; while illustrious withdrawals included Swedish rider Rolf-Gorna Bengsston (with Crunch refusing to do the oxer Mercedes Benz) and Henrik von Ceckermann on Cantinero. One of the most welcomed riders was Janne-Friderike Meyer-Zimmermann, who was cheered on by the crowd as she took to the field on Buettner’s Minimax and picked up the best result for a female rider (10th place. Two other Germans made it into the top ten: Christian Ahlmann (fifth on Clintrexo Z) and Kristian Kukuk (sicth on Lacasino). There’s a lot of excitement ahead of this afternoon’s LGCT Grand Prix, scheduled to start at 15.45, which is available in livestreaming on LGCT TV and then tonight at 22.00 on Eurosport.
