Double in sight at the Capannelle for the ‘President of the Republic’ prize

The Capannelle mon amour equestrian centre will host one of the most classic gallop competition, the ‘President of the Republic’ prize (Gr.2 GBI Racing).
The favourite of the day, Anda Muchacho, had to retire due to injury just before the kick-off. Without the 4-year-old boy colt from Diego Romeo’s stable, the starting list has been reduced to nine horses and the baton of the favourite has passed to last year’s winner, Time to Choose, who is looking for the double.
The horse will be mounted by Dario Vargiu, Effevi srl rider training with team Botti, who could count on the support of team-mate Togheter Again as it happened last year with Voice of Love. Much will depend on the tactics decided to lead Time To Choose to the double. 
Possible competitors could be Royal Julius, who came from Longchamp and would not have wasted a trip; Presley, ridden by Fresu, who showed he can make impact also on long distances; and Greg Pass, who was surpassed by Time To Choose on the finish line last season. 
It will be an attractive event gathering the audience of the big occasions on the stands at the equestrian centre in Via Appia, Rome. The climax will be the Derby Day on May 20th.
