Emirates International Endurance takes place in Abu Dhabi

Italy had little to celebrate at the Emirates International Endurance Village in Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi. In the 160km event Gianluca Laliscia had to pull up his horse JJ Perimage after hitting the third hurdle and the animal started limping. It was the same story for the mounts of Giorgio Cingolani and Alfonso Striano who did not get past the earlier hurdle.The Al Reef del Sultano Ahmad Al Baloushi stables took the title for a second year and Sultan Ahmed Al Baloushi, riding the chestnut bay Cronus, won in a time of 6hours 25mins with team-mate Omair Husain Abdulla Al Bloushi second and  Majid Mohammad Salman Al Sabri for the Emaar stables third.Chakil on Baia de Piboul and Cecile Miletto on were 10th and 11th.
