Eventing star Michael Jung looking for record in Kentucky

Followers of Eventing can look forward to one of the top events of the season in late April, from April 26th to 29th when the Land Rover Kentucky Three Day Eventing returns with An excellent line-up: the current champion, winner last year , the previous year and in 2015, is the German ace Michael Jung.
The Olympic champion returned to his base from Italy after a triumphal Easter weekend at the CIC3* in Pratoni where he praised the competition grounds, perfect for the country trials and where he hopes to return very soon for other competitions as the discipline is in great need in Italy to grow from a sporting point of view.
Jung will present himself in Kentucky with FischerRocana FST, his partner of victories three times in Kentucky, to try to conquer the record of four consecutive wins in one of the most prestigious events in the sector.
Jung, number one in the Eventing world ranking, has prepared intensely this year regularly attending indoor competitions and CSI3* events, even participating in a CSIO5* in Abu Dhabi with the German national show jumping and is ready to reach a new goal, looking for another record in the discipline in which he is the undisputed king and of which he simultaneously holds an Olympic, World and European title for the first time in the history of this discipline.
A prize of $ 400,000 plus the chance to add the Rolex bonus points in the event for a consecutive victory after Bourghley, 43 riders and 56 horses in the list of participants representing 7 nations including Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland , New Zealand, Poland and USA.
Jung could take another step towards history by also winning in  2018 but among his opponents to put the pressure on are William Fox-Pitt (silver and bronze Olympic and three times winner of the Kentucky Three -Day Eventing) for Great Britain, the Olympic bronze Christopher Burton for Australia.
