The wait is nearly over. Today, the first stage of the new FEI World Cup season for show-jumping gets underway at 13.00 (local time) at the Arena Telenor in Oslo.
Before that however, there was good Equestrian World for Italy as all 3 of the Italian riders present at the CSI5* have qualified for today’s event. Luca Maria Moneta with 10 year-old Selle Française Quova de Vains (Robin II Z) was the first one while the second rider was Lorenzo De Luca after a splendid display yesterday saw him finish in 7th and qualify for today’s GP. De Luca will take to the field for today’s competition, with a variable height of 1.40m-1.60m, with KWPN Paratrooper (Oklund), the 9 year-old bay stallion with which he won the CSI3* Vilamoura GP in the first week of the Vilamoura Champions Tour. The third Italian rider to take to the field in Oslo is Francesco Franco who will be competing with 10 year-old grey mare Banca Popolare di Bari Cassandra (Cashandcarry).
Defending his title is Germany’s Daniel Deusser and he will be aiming to do so with the horse that he won the German national title: Fyloe vh Claeyssenhof (Burggraaf). All the action can be followed live on FEI TV while Eurosport will be showing the highlights later on. Please see the attachment below for the starting order.
