The Fieracavalli turns 120 and celebrates by providing a new competition for fans of show jumping. The Fieracavalli Grand Prix will debut in the next edition of the event, scheduled for the Verona Fair from 25 to 28 October 2018.
The competition, the A6 star- category, will see 120 pairs in the ring. The initiative – organized in collaboration with Fise-Italian equestrian sports federation – is thus enriching the already important calendar of sporting events held during the days of the fair; Jumping Verona, the only Italian leg of the Longines FEI World CupTM .
The Fieracavalli Grand Prix will be presented tomorrow in Rome, during the 86th International Official Horse Show Competition (CSIO) in Piazza di Siena. The registrations will then open in September, with the notification of the admission criteria.
Fieracavalli is the reference exhibition for the international equestrian scene, managing to unite all the realities that revolve around the horse world: breeding, sport, tourism, business and entertainment.
Every year more than 3,000 horses of 60 breeds and over 200 events between competitions and performances are attracted to Verona, with 160,000  visitors from more than 60 nations, among professionals, young promises and fans of all ages.
A success that has its roots in a history of more than a century, born together with the Verona Fair itself, which was established in 1898 for the biannual fairs of agriculture and horses.
