Final standings WBFSH 2013/14: KWPN tops show jumping and dressage

The fight for the title of Best Studbook of the 2013/14 season has officially come to an end. The final standings have been published and the winners have been nominated this week by the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses. 
The best Studbook for show jumping are once again the Dutch KWPN who managed 7498 with their most illustrious representatives Chaman (Baloubet du Rouet), VDL Groep Verdi (Quidam de Revel), Zenith SFN (Rash R), Vindicat W (Guidam), Zigali PS (Kigali) and Plot Blue (Mr. Blue).
Second place went to the German Holsteiner verband with 7108 points managed thanks to their top horses Casall Ask (Caretino), Chiara 222 (Contender), Carinjo HDC (Cascavelle), Catwalk IV (Colman), Conrad de Hus (Con Air) and Vienna Olympic (Cassini I).
Third was SBS from Belgium with 6796 points. This studbook’s top horses are: ello Sanctos (Quasimodo vd Molendreef), Rothchild (Artos), Barron (For Pleasure), Utamaro d’Ecaussines (Diamant de Semilly), Citizenguard Toscane de Sainte Hermelle (Sarcouf du Revel) e Reveur de Hurtebise (Kashmir van Schuttershof).

As far as individual titles are concerned, the best show jumper is Hello Sanctos of the British rider Scott Brash, born in 2002 and registered to the Belgian studbook SBS, son of Quasimodo vd Molendreef e di Nasia van het Gravenhof (Nabab de Reve), with 1760 points. Second was another SBS, Rothchild of the American McLain Ward, born in 2001, son of Artos.
In third place was the Westfahlen horse of Daniel Deusser, the grey Cornet d’Amour, that won the Fei World Cup in 2013 with the German.
Valegro won top honours in Dressage. The incredible KWPN has already won almost everything there is to win with rider Charlotte Dujardin. A double victory for KWPN who topped the Dressage standings with 15365 points ahead of the Germans Hannoveraner verband (13179), and Westfaliches Pferdstammbuch (12605).
The top horses of the winners KWPN were: Valegro (Negro), Glock’s Undercover NOP (Ferro), Totilas (Gribaldi), Jerich Parzival NOP (Jazz), Kingsley Siro NOP (Gribaldi) and Glock’s Johnson TN (Jazz).
Best Studbook for three day eventing was Sport Horse Studbook from Ireland with 1254 points followed by Selle Française with 1195 points and Holsteiner verband with 1117 points. The best horse of the category was Fischerrocana FST of German Michael Jung.
The winners will receive their prizes during the annual meeting that will be held at Sao Paolo, Brazil, in November.
