
First for De Luca in Verona

After the top four for the Italian riders in the opening event in Verona, it was the turn of Lorenzo De Luca to take centre stage. The young Azzurri was first in the Premio Selleria Equipe on Elky van Et Indihof, the nine-year-old mare out of Cloverleaf Farm, sister of Pius Schwizer’s Toulago (Toulon).De Luca – Elky were the only ones of the 46 riders to get under 60 seconds with a time of 58.99. Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum was second on Checkmate (Contender), and third went to Jur Vrieling on Zavalli VDL (Casall).
